Annual and Monthly Memberships

Bay Wheels Annual Memberships renew automatically one year after the purchase date. Monthly Memberships are set to automatically renew each month when you sign up.

To cancel your Bay Wheels Membership, go to Menu > Select your membership > Manage plan > Cancel plan. Your membership perks will continue until the end of your current billing cycle, but you will not be charged moving forward.

Annual membership refunds will immediately end your membership perks. We do not refund or credit for partially used memberships beyond the first 14 days.

Canceling your Monthly Membership does not issue a refund for the membership. We will issue a full refund of the membership if the membership has not yet been used after purchasing.

If you would like to request a refund, you can contact Customer Service through this form.

You can also pause your membership for up to 12 weeks. To do this, open your settings and select your membership. You will see the option to "Pause Plan." Finish pausing your membership by choosing a date (within 12 weeks) for your membership to resume. Keep in mind that you can only pause your membership once per membership cycle.

Please keep in mind, over a 12-month period, monthly members will automatically transition to an Annual Membership for the remainder of the period if they automatically renew more than a certain number of times. Each time a monthly member auto-renews, they will contribute to their renewal "streak." Once you've auto-renewed the monthly membership 5 times, then you'll automatically transition to the Annual Membership, which is only an additional $5 for the remainder of the 12-month period.

Corporate Memberships

Bay Wheels for Business Memberships are good for one year, but do not renew automatically. If you need to renew a membership into your company’s program, wait until your current membership expires, then work with your employer to receive a new promo code to sign-up for the membership again. 

If an employee leaves the company, there is no action required by the program manager. The employee’s membership will still be good for a full year, but they will be responsible for renewing into a regular Annual Membership.

Bike Share for All

Bike Share for All memberships are good for one year, but do not renew automatically. To continue your membership after it expires, you’ll need to renew it manually through your Bay Wheels account.

Lyft Pink

A Lyft Pink membership gives you member-exclusive perks and pricing, including bike and scooter benefits, and the Lyft Pink All Access plan has additional bike and scooter benefits. For more information on managing your Lyft Pink membership, visit the Lyft Help Center.
