You can return your Classic bike to any station with an open dock – you don't have to bring it back to the station where you picked it up. Find available docks on the Bay Wheels app, Lyft app, or System Map. Line up the triangle located at the front of the bike with the dock and insert your bike gently but firmly - don't slam it!
Wait until the light on the dock turns green and you’ve received a notification to make sure it's locked. If you aren’t sure, pull the bike by the handlebars to confirm it’s properly locked. Please always make sure your bike is docked at a Bay Wheels station when your ride is over; never leave it unattended.
You may notice some docks do not have LED lights, but instead have flip dots. If ending a ride at one of these docks, make sure to look for the green lock dot as an indication that the bike has been properly docked. If you see a red “X” dot, this means that the bike is not docked properly. Do not leave an undocked bike unattended.
Additionally, if you see a red “X” dot at an empty dock, this means this open dock is unavailable and you’ll need to dock your bike at a different dock.
