Alaska Airlines is a founding partner of Bay Wheels and has supported bikeshare in the Bay Area since 2017. Bay Wheels is grateful to Alaska Airlines for their support over the last four years. Unfortunately, this partnership is ending at the end of June 2021, which includes the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and Bay Wheels integration. Effective July 1, 2021, riders will no longer be able to earn 10 Alaska miles for each bike ride they take on Bay Wheels.

Q: Why don’t I see my Alaska Airlines miles in the Bay Wheels app anymore? 

A: Due to a Bay Wheels app update, you no longer see miles earned in the app. Mileage is still being accrued from bike rides and your miles will be updated regularly through June 2021. You can track your mileage by logging into your Mileage Plan account on Alaska’s website and reviewing your mileage. 

Q: Am I still earning miles if I ride Bay Wheels? Where can I see my miles to confirm? 

A: Unfortunately the partnership with Alaska Airlines is ending at the end of June 2021.
