- You can return your bike to any station with an open dock – you don't have to bring it back to the station where you picked it up. Find available docks on the app, Bay Wheels or System Map. Line up the triangle located at the front of the bike with the dock and insert your bike gently but firmly. (Don't slam it.) Wait until the light on the dock turns green to make sure it's locked. If you aren’t sure, pull the bike by the handlebars to confirm it’s properly locked,
- Dock at any Bay Wheels station. You can dock an ebike at any Bay Wheels station, the same way you would dock a Classic bike. If securing your bike at a dock, do not also use the cable lock. This ensures your bike is ready for the next rider.
- Lock to any public bike rack within the designated service area. To lock your bike, remove the cable lock from the pink holder. Wrap the cable around the bike rack, then place the pin into the lock. You will hear a beep when the bike is securely locked, with the LED ring turning green and then flashing white. This signifies that your trip has ended. (Note: The service area is indicated in the Lyft app on the map. A $20 fee will be applied for parking outside the service area. See a map of service area HERE.)
